April and May have been busy months for Dog4Ewe!
At the beginning of May, John traveled with Lee and Roy to the USBCHA National Cattle Dog Finals in Leeton, MO. Unfortunately Lee had a tough cow that kept breaking away on his 2nd preliminary run and did not make the Open finals. Roy earned his way into the Nursery finals and took 4th place! He did a great job working the difficult cattle around the course. Roy has fantastic control for a young dog (and really displayed it during the finals) – he grips when necessary (heads and heels), but if he can quickly stop a cow without gripping, he will leave it at that. The finals had some rough weather (for May) including snow for the first 2 days of competition! Congrats to everyone!
Hope has been bred and should whelp in mid July. See the Dogs for Sale page for more information. Hope has a new video up on her page too! (click HERE for Hope’s page)
Trey has been in training and is now available for sale. Trey is a 2 year old litter mate to Hope and Molly and will make an excellent cattle or sheep/goat dog. Check out the Dogs for Sale page for more about Trey and several videos of him working cattle.
Meg (Molly x Pete) now has her own page. Meg is a great little pup showing some amazing potential at a very young age! More about Meg HERE.
